Bookings
Shire Escapes' Shepherd Huts handles bookings with at least 1 person staying to be 18 or over. When you place your booking, you will receive a confirmation email with a payment receipt for the deposit and/or balance, this will be sent to the email address provided.
Occupancy
The Shepherd Huts are designed for a maximum of two people. However we do accept 2 people and 1 three year old or younger, you can bring a travel cot if you wish. Children are accepted, 1 child at a maximum (4 - 17 years of age) per booking. A person is classified as 4+ years old.
Check in is from 3pm - 9pm on the day of your arrival. Check out time is 11am of the day of your departure.
Pets
Well-behaved dogs can be accommodated in our huts, there is a maximum of 2 dogs per hut. Due to surrounding livestock we ask for you to be responsible dog owners and to keep your dogs under control. Please do not leave your dogs in the hut or onsite unattended. Owners are liable for any damage your dog causes to the hut or the surrounding farmland and livestock. Please contact us if this occurs.
There is an additional fee of £20 per stay for if you wish to bring 1 to 2 dogs due to the extra cleaning, which will be taken at the time of booking.
Payments
Bookings made online can be paid by Visa or Mastercard.
A 30% deposit is required for bookings over 7 days away, and the balance will be automatically collected 7 days before arrival. For bookings less than 7 days away, the payment will need to be made in full.
If cancelled over 7 days away of arrival, the deposit is non refundable and the remaining balance will not be made. Once the arrival is less than 7 days away, the total payment for the booking will become non refundable.
We reserve the right to refuse any booking or cancel any bookings subject to refunding any sums you have paid without further liability on our behalf.
We cannot accept responsibility or pay any compensation where the provision of the holiday is prevented or affected by reason of circumstances that amount to "force majeure". These include any event which we could not, even with all due care, foresee or avoid. Such circumstances include the destruction or damage of the property through fire, flood, explosion, storm or other weather damage, break in, criminal damage, riots or civil strife, industrial action, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, war or threat of war, actual or threatened terrorist activity, epidemic, pandemic and all similar situations beyond our control.
We advise guests to take out holiday cancellation insurance in advance of their trip.
Date Changes
Where possible, we will try to help you change the date of your booking if you can no longer make it, however if this change cannot be made then the standard cancellation policy will apply.
